2003 - 2013
Dear loyal readers, anime geeks of all kind, and netizens at large,
It’s been ten years, nearly 300 reviews, and a whole lot of laughs. As we all know, however, nothing lasts forever. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce the end of M.H. Torringjan’s and Black Seventeen’s Anime Reviews.
Due to recent developments, I was faced with a gut-wrenching choice: either rework the site and omit certain content, or remove the site entirely. Even though I was more than capable of making the necessary revisions, I felt that it would not be right given the circumstances, and I decided that the most respectful course of action would be to retire this website completely. Ten years ago, M. H. and I started this website, and together we will end it.
My plan for the future is to salvage as much site content as possible, and re-brand it under a new website. However, this will take time, and I cannot give a timetable on any possible site launch. It was hard enough providing a few paragraphs of new content to an existing website, let alone trying to build another one from scratch.
In closing, I would just like to say how immensely proud I am of the last ten years. Over the course of my life I have had many interest come and go. This website was one of the few things that I desperately clung to and refused to give up on, even when I probably should have. It has weathered many rough patches and had endured for a decade, until there came a time when I had no choice but to let it go. Though this is the end of the site, it is not the end for M. H., Black Seventeen, or even The Masked Reviewer. After all, there is a lot of anime out there, and somebody needs to review it.
If this was your first visit to this website, I apologize that you missed out. For those of you who have been here before, I would like to thank you for your readership. Hopefully you were entertained, and maybe, just maybe, you learned something about anime along the way. If you have any questions, comments, or would just like to say hello, I can always be reached by email at email@example.com. Plus, I will continue to maintain our Facebook page, so feel free to check in for updates, articles, silly pictures, and general anime geekery.
On behalf of M.H, The Masked Reviewer, and myself, thank you for allowing us to be your trusted anime resource. Until we meet again.
